POP-UP EVENTS

1   Spotlight Presentation

This is a short presentation about an interesting aspect of clinical practice you have particular experience with or that you have a particular interest in. It could be a niche area of practice that not a lot of speechies have experience with, a presentation on a particular tool or program, a technique you find particularly effective for certain types of therapy or any other interesting aspect of speech pathology practice. You don’t need to be a university professor or a published researcher to present – we want to hear from everyday speechies with insights straight from the clinic! You can use a powerpoint presentation or other media or you can just chat to the group informally – it’s totally up to you!

2   Case Study Presentation

This is a 15 minute presentation on an interesting case study from your clinical practice. You can present broadly on the overall presentation of the client and your work with them or narrow in on a particular aspect of their program. You don’t need to provide statistics or data for these presentations (though you’re welcome to if you want to) – we want to hear from your clinical experience. Case studies straight from the clinic!

3   YouTube Interview for Speech Science Channel

This is a 15 minute video recorded presentation based on above Point 1 or Point 2 – that you give permission to be featured on our YouTube channel.

Please note

If we have a lot of people interested in presenting, we may not have space for all the presentations. You will receive an email from us confirming your presentation. If we aren’t able to offer you the opportunity to present, we may ask you if we can interview you on your chosen topic for the Speech Science Youtube channel.

Speech Science products will be available for purchase on the night. You can pre-order your products from the online shop and we will have them ready for collection on the night, or purchase before or after the event.
