Speech Science was developed by Australian-based speech pathologist Kathryn Maroney as a love letter to the speech pathology industry. Kathryn wanted to design incredible, specific and effective therapy tools for the speech pathology profession world wide!
Each resource is designed to be a complete tool for developing a particular aspect of communication. It is very important to us that our tools are designed in such a way, that they will adapt to support you in your unique style of delivering therapy and that they can be used to create personalised interventions for each individual client they are used with. We design the tools to adapt to you, not for you to need to adapt your style of practice to fit in with them and their design.
But we couldn’t stop at therapy tools … we wanted to give Speechies fun and unique items to level up their Speechie game! So we created our line of Speechie Merch. Fun designs and slogans for Speechies, on items you not only need, but won’t be able to work without!
Speech Science also holds unique pop-up events world-wide, to bring speechie communities together, to connect, upskill and have fun!

Kathryn Maroney has been working as a speech pathologist since 2010. She is one of the biggest Speechie Nerds you will ever meet! Kathryn is never happier than when she is elbow deep in a gnarly language disorder, complex case of dyspraxia, an accept modification, or supporting a non-verbal person to develop functional communication. Kathryn works in private practice on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane, Australia, as well as traveling to surrounding areas. She works across most general areas of speech pathology practice with adults and children.
